The Popular Front for the Liberation of Libya (PPFL)[7] is a Gaddafi Loyalist militia and political party which was formed on 26 December 2016.[3]

In October 2017, the PPFL was defeated in clashes with the Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade,[6] which led to the arrest of the military leader, Al-Mabrouk Ehnish on 16 October 2017[4].

In March 2018, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi announced his intention to run in the Libyan general election, 2018 under the PPFL.[5]
