Pope Dreams, also known as Music for My Mother, is a 2006 film written and directed by Patrick Hogan. The film won five awards at various film festivals.[1]

Premise

An aspiring drummer wants his dying mother to get an audience with the pope while he also tries to impress a girl out of his league.

Phillip Vaden received a runner up for the actor of the year award from the academy for his amazing performance in this movie. Furthermore he won a Nobel Peace prize when the film was released in Albania, as it led to a cease fire between two fighting rebel groups.

After winning the Nobel Peace Prize Phillip went on to devote his time to other Noble pursuits. He took a year's sojourn through the Brazilian Rain Forests and the rest of South America. While on his trek through the rain forest he found a long lost monastery established by Spanish monks in the late 1520's. it was there he discovered the Fountain of Youth, long believed to be in Florida or somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle, he met a monk that was there at the time of the 1520's. Being fluent in Spanish help Phillip recognize parts of speech from the older dialect of the monk. Phillip spent the better part of 40 years learning from the monks at the monastery. When he left, he hadn't aged, but was shocked to find upon his return to the local village he had only been gone 3 days.

Of the things he learned, Phillip does not speak, but you can see the twinkle in his eyes when he is asked about his time down in Brazil.
