Poornachandra Mysore (born 3 March 1988) is an Indian film actor. He works primarily in Kannada short films, although he has also acted in Tamil (Niagiria 231), Telugu (Idi Oka Love Story) and English (Puppet Master)[1] short films. His popular films include Crush, Second Love, Audition,[2] Black Hole[3] and Patinga.[4]

He also acted in the movie Lucia (2013), directed by Pawan Kumar.

Early life

Poornachandra started his career with a small role in a German play titled Jeremias,[5] directed by Christian Stuckl.[6] He worked in theater and in many dramas. He holds the credit for working as Producer for a popular radio channel. Poornachandra made big screen debut in Lucia. The big break came in the movie BB5[7] released in May 2017 in which he played the lead role.

Education

Poornachandra, son of Chaluvaraj N and R. Jyothi, has completed his primary education at Seventh Day Adventist and has completed his graduation in Commerce.

Upcoming projects

The upcoming projects of the actor are 'Dayavittu Gamanisi',[8] in which he plays a major role. He appears in the movie Orchestra which portrays the struggle of a poor boy to become successful orchestra singer. The movie is based mainly on the orchestra culture of Mysore.

Other activities

Poornachandra has successfully presented Government documentaries. Malegalalli Madumagalu is the best-known of the three documentaries that he hosted under the name EMCEE. He is the founding member of Karnataka Entertainment Board (KEB).[9] KEB is the first Kannada YouTube channel that has gained popularity. He actively contributes to its Satire-Comedy shows. The most popular of the lot is Weekend with Suresh,[10] a spoof of a popular TV show.

Awards

Poornachandra was awarded 'Best Actor' at Siima Short Film Awards for his role in Patinga.
