Piyush Trivedi is an Indian academician. He was Founder Head of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal and is the former Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, the University of Technology of Madhya Pradesh, even without holding a technical degree, particularly in engineering.[1][2][3]

Education

He did his B.Pharm from Holkar Science College, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in 1979 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and then his M.Pharm, Sagar University in 1981 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Afterwards, He did his Ph.D in 1992 from, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (Formerly Indore University) in 1992.

Career

In the year 2003, he joined RGTU as the Founder Head of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.

Controversies

Piyush Trivedi is the brother of the tainted and the main accused of the Vyapam scam, Pankaj Trivedi. He was removed the post of VC of RGPV due to his alleged involvement in the scam and disproportionate assets.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]
