Picmonic, Inc. is an Arizona-based audiovisual learning platform with headquarters in Tempe. It was established in 2011 by two medical students (Ron Robertson and Adeel Yang) to help students retain and recall the large amount of facts studied in medical school.[1][2] Picmonic name is a portmanteau of Picture and mnemonic. As for 2017, the website contains more than 1000 audiovisual picmonics and the company claims that 150,000 learners have used the website.
