Philtzgérald Grégory Kévin Mbaka, commonly known as Philtzgérald Mbaka, (born 24 January 1993) is a Congolese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Romanian Liga II club SSC Farul Constanța.[1]

Career

Australia

Compromising on a one-year contract with South Melbourne at the beginning of 2016,[2] Mbaka first featured in a 4-1 crushing of Oakleigh Cannons that April, showing calmness on the ball despite having no acceleration[3] before departing by June.[4]

Oman

Intrinsically motivated by an offer from Oman Club,[5] the French-Congolese schemer compromised on a deal with them in November 2016,[6] taking the number 31 and becoming teammates with a Brazilian, a Chilean, and a Central Asian.[5] Supplying assists instead of scoring,[5] he helped Al-Ahmar qualify for the semi-finals of the 2016–17 Sultan Qaboos Cup, beating Suwaiq Club 1-0[7] before being knocked out in the second leg. causing them to not reach the final.

International

Mbaka played two matches for the Congolese national team, including a 1-1 draw with Kenya in African Cup of Nations qualifying and a friendly against Ghana.[8][9]
