Philippe Paoli (born 3 January 1995 in Beirut) is a Lebanese Professional football player who played as a striker for Olympique Lyonnais U19 and F.C Köln U23 team and Lommel United Professional Club in Belgium. Philippe also represented the national team of Lebanon at all youth categories and has 8 caps with the lebanese national senior team. He is currently a free agent.

Club career

Paoli is a graduate from the Dbayeh based Athletico S.C. academy. He also practiced athletics, discipline that saw him win several national titles in the categories of youth.[2]

He joined the under-19 Olympique Lyon team and reserve team in the summer of 2012 before joining 1.F.C Köln U23 team In 2014, 1. FC Köln,[3] where already the Lebanese players Youssef Mohamad and Roda Antar have played. In the summer of 2015, he moved to Lommel United competing in belgium’s 1st division B pro league.[4]

International career

At age 17, Paoli was called by coach Theo Bücker for the Lebanon national team during a friendly match against the Australia on the 6th of September 2012 in which he came on as a substitute in the 59th minute.[5] He was the captain of the Lebanon national under-20 team during the asian cup 2017 qualifiers that took place in Oman in 2015.[6]

Education

Paoli went to International College, Ain Aar, Lebanon and then moved to the Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais where he completed his high school studies. He earned the French Baccalaureate with high distinction.

Personal life

Paoli has one sister, Andrea Paoli, who participated in the 2012 Olympics.
