The Philadelphia Wings are a box lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League. They will play at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania starting in the 2018–2019 season. On November 29, 2017, it was announced the new franchise would be called the Philadelphia Wings.[1]

History

On September 14, 2017, the NLL awarded an expansion franchise in Philadelphia to owner Comcast Spectacor.[2] The franchise fee for Philadelphia and fellow expansion team San Diego Seals was a reported $5 million.[3]
