Philadelphia Prison System

The Philadelphia Prison System is operated by the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania state. All of the facilities are located on State Road in the Holmesburg neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia.

  • Curran-Fromhold Correction Facility (population 2,700)
  • Holmesburg Prison (limited use)
  • Philadelphia Detention Center (about 1,200)
  • Philadelphia House of Correction (about 1,250)
  • Philadelphia Industrial Correction Center (about 1,000)
  • Riverside Correctional Facility (For women) (about 750)[1]
