Phil Ofosu-Ayeh (born 15 September 1991) is a German-born Ghanaian footballer who plays for 3. Liga side Hansa Rostock, on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Career

Ofosu-Ayeh, born in Moers to a German mother and a Ghanaian father,[1] was given a call-up to the preliminary Ghana U-20 squad for the 2011 African Youth Championship, but his club at the time, SV Wilhelmshaven, refused to give him permission to play at the tournament.[2]

On 18 May 2011, he moved to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt and signed a two-year contract.

On 29 April 2014, he signed a two-year contract to join VfR Aalen the following season.[3] After Aalen's relegation, he transferred to Eintracht Braunschweig for the 2015–16 2. Bundesliga season.[4] Ofosu-Ayeh's contract with Braunschweig was not renewed after the 2016–17 2. Bundesliga season.[5]

On 20 June 2017, he signed a three-year deal with Sky Bet Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.[6]

On 31 August 2018, Ofosu-Ayeh joined Hansa Rostock on loan until the end of 2018–19 season.[7][8]

International career

On 13 October 2015, Ofosu-Ayeh made his full international debut for Ghana, in a friendly against Canada played in Washington, D.C..[9]
