Phi Lambda Kappa

Phi Lambda Kappa (ΦΛΚ) is a medical fraternity that was founded at the University of Pennsylvania in 1907.[1]

History

The organization comes from an eastern branch, the Aleph Yodh He fraternity, founded in 1907 and a western branch founded in Chicago whose name the organization used at the amalgamation in Pittsburgh in 1922. In 1924, policy was changed to allow graduate members to hold national office. At the 1952 convention, the constitution was altered to make the fraternity non-sectarian.
