Petter Hegre (born 8 September 1969 in Stavanger, Norway) is a Norwegian photographer, known for his nude photography of women.[1]

Biography

Hegre studied at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara and worked in New York City with Richard Avedon before returning to Europe.[2] He went on to publish six books and have his work exhibited internationally. After living in Algarve, Portugal, as of 2008, Hegre is based in Barcelona.

Photography

The widest exposure of Hegre's works has been with his website Hegre-Archives launched in 2002. The name of the website was changed to Hegre-Art.com by December 2005 and Hegre.com by 1 August 2016.

On 5 August 2004, Hegre launched The New Nude, which was published by Global Media Publishing.

Personal life

Hegre is married to the Ukrainian model Luba Shumeyko (b. 1982) with whom he has one son. He also has two daughters from a previous marriage. He was earlier married to Icelandic model Svanborg Þórisdóttir (b. 1977).
