Petrophile rigida is a shrub endemic to Western Australia.[1]

The divaricate shrub typically grows to a height of 0.3 to 1.5 metres (1.0 to 4.9 ft). It blooms between June and October producing yellow-cream flowers.

It is found in the Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy soils.[1]
