Petite Forte (French: Petit Forte) is a community located in Placentia Bay. It is connected by road to on the Burin Peninsula which is on the southeast coast of the island of Newfoundland |Newfoundland]] in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. It fought attempts by the government in the 1960s to resettle. Petite Forte remains a vibrant community with a population of 57 according to the 2016 census.[1]
