Crime

The Pembury Estate has had a reputation for gang crime and violence. The area saw violent protests during the 2011 England Riots.[1][2][3]

Regeneration

In 2016 there were reports that a regeneration scheme was planned for the Pembury Estate. However, it was cancelled due to an insufficient level of social housing in the plan, falling 915 people short.
