Regarded by many as an overt and heavy handed attempt to break into the American albums market, Peace in Our Time was received negatively by critics and fans alike. The members of the band later expressed dissatisfaction with the recording process and production. However, songs such as the title track and "Broken Heart (Thirteen Valleys)" were well-received at live shows.
