Patrie! (opera)

Patrie! is an 1886 French-language grand opera by Émile Paladilhe based on the play by Victorien Sardou about the 16th Century revolt of the Dutch Geuzen nobles. The opera was Paladilhe's greatest popular success and was one of the last grand operas to premiere at the Paris Opéra.[1]
