Patrick McNaughton

Patrick McNaughton is an American art historian and professor emeritus at Indiana University,^[1]. A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles and Yale University, McNaughton specializes in the field of African art history.^[2] Much of his research stems from early field work in Mali. He taught at Indiana University from 1983 until his retirement in 2017.^[3][4] He attained the rank of Chancellor's Professor and served as department chair.^[5]

He is also a published author and was honored as a Winthrop Rockefeller Distinguished Lecturer at University of Arkansas in 1997.^{[6] [7]}
