Patrick "Pat" James Hannigan was a New Zealand rugby league footballer of the 1910s. He played at representative level for New Zealand (Heritage № 48), and Nelson, as a Hooker, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums.[2][3][4]

Rugby union career

Hannigan played rugby union, for the Nelson-Marlborough combined side against the 1908 Anglo-Wesh touring side.[5]

Rugby league career

Hannigan won a cap for New Zealand during the 1910 Great Britain Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand, playing Hooker in the 20-52 defeat by Great Britain at Domain Cricket Ground, Auckland on Saturday 30 July 1910.[1]
