Pariscope is a popular weekly magazine available at Parisian newsstands and is published by Hachette Filipacchi Médias.

History and profile

Pariscope was a moderately-priced magazine, established in 1965.[1][2] Event organisers pay for event listings (its chief competitor, L'Officiel des Spectacles, has a more flexible policy on event sponsoring). The magazine covered the current and forthcoming entertainment events in Paris over the coming week, including theatre, music and films.

Pariscope's website has some sponsored links for current and upcoming shows and events, along with features related to entertainment. Pariscope closed down a more comprehensive event listing service on the Internet in 2004.

After 51 years of publication, the final issue was published the week of 18 October 2016.[3]
