Parineeta Borthakur is an Indian film and television actress, and singer from Assam. Borthakur made her film debut with Assamese Movie Nayak, winning the best debut actress lead role award. She is also known for her performance as Sharmishta Bose in the Colors TV show Swaragini . Later, she did a telefilm, Nabajibon. Parineeta, along with singer Zubeen Garg, starred in the Assamese movie Gaane Ki Aane.

She appeared in Pritam Pyare Aur Woh on SAB TV as Gogi. She also featured in Bollywood movies like Force, Chalo Dilli and Kurbaan. Then she was seen in Zee TV's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani as Vasundhra Suryavanshi. She is currently seen as Anjana Hooda in Colors TV's Bepannaah.[1][2][3][4]

Early life

Borthakur was born in Diphu, but grew up in Duliajan, Assam. She did her high secondary education from Cotton College and later on moved to Mumbai for her graduation from Sophia College, and Masters from Mumbai University. Borthakur's parents wanted her to become a singer. She started singing and performing her songs from Assam for events and local movies. With time, she stepped into the acting industry. Borthakur is married to Gautam Chakrabortty.[5]
