Paraguay qualified a women's team (of 18 athletes) by finishing in the top five nations at the 2018 Copa América Femenina.
Basketball
Paraguay qualified a women's team (of 12 athletes) by finishing in the top seven nations at the 2017 FIBA Women's AmeriCup. This marks the country's debut in women's basketball at the Pan American Games.[2]
