Paradise Group of Industries (PGI) is a Bangladeshi conglomerates. The company was founded by Md. Mosharraf Hossain (Chairman) in 1985.[1] The industries under this conglomerate include light engineering, electrical cable, textile, real estate etc. Its main corporate units are Paradise Cable Limited (PCL), SBS Cables Ltd and Paradise Spinning Mills Ltd. Paradise Cables is the leading manufacturer of all types of wires, cables and conductors in Bangladesh. The group started its business with textile and trading, and later it diversified into wire and cable manufacturing.[2] Small, medium and large family owned businesses dominate over Bangladesh's $100 billion ($288 billion in PPP GDP) economy, which has been growing at over 5 percent a year since 1995.[3]
