The Papua New Guinea National Museum and Art Gallery (NMAG) is a museum and art gallery in Waigani, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. It is the national museum of Papua New Guinea.

History

The board of trustees for the proposed establishment of the museum was formed in 1954.[1] The construction of the museum started in 1975 and was opened to the public in 1977.

Architectures

The museum consists of the Masterpiece Gallery, Sir Michael Somare Gallery and the Independence Gallery.[2]
