Palm Springs in popular culture

The resort towns of Palm Springs, California and other communities in the Coachella Valley, as a filming location, topical setting, and storyline subject for films, television shows, literature, and music, are frequently featured in popular culture. Besides Palm Springs, other nearby communities include Bermuda Dunes, Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, La Quinta, Mecca, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and the Salton Sea.
