Palladio Film

Palladio Film is an International production company based in Cologne and London. It specializes in feature films and documentaries. Palladio Film was founded in 1990 by Niko von Glasow. Palladio Film took its name from Italian architect Andrea Palladio who, according to Niko von Glasow, was responsible for the "renaissance of the renaissance." Palladio Film concentrates on artistic and historical feature films focused on individual as well as unusual documentaries such as NoBody's Perfect, which tells the story of twelve victims of Thalidomide.

  • Edelweiss Pirates (movie)|Edelweiss Pirates (2004) [3]The 96 minute, 35mm film was written by Kiki von Glasow and directed by Niko von Glasow and starred Ivan Stebunov, Jan Decleir and Bela B. Felsenheimer. It premiered at the 2004 Montréal Film Festival. It took place in Cologne, at the end of the Second World War. A boy betrays his brother because he loves him.
  • Wedding Guests (1991)—The 40 min. 35 mm was written and directed by Niko von Glasow. Stories unfold during a wedding.
  • Elke Heidenreich (2004)—Documentary about the bestselling German author, Elke Heidenreich. It was written and directed by Claudia Müller
  • Winter Sleepers (1997)—This feature film was written by Anne-Francoise Pyszora and Tom Tykwer and directed by Tykwer. It starred Heino Ferch and Josef Bierbichler. Translator Rebecca and her skiing instructor boyfriend Marco have their lives upended by a car crash.
  • Marie's Song (1994)—The film was written and directed by Niko von Glasow. It starred Sylvie Testud, Bastian Trost, Veronica Quilligan and Jean-François Perrier. Marie experiences her first love while her governess becomes involved with a visiting stranger. As more outsiders arrive the fragile peace of the estate is destroyed by orgies and excess.
  • Everything Will Be Alright (2012) This documentary was written and directed by Niko von Glasow. The film covers the making of a live theatre productdion.[4]
