PalZ (formerly Paläontologische Zeitschrift) is a periodical focused on palaeontology and published by the palaeontological society of Germany (Paläontologische Gesellschaft). The first issue was printed in 1912. Till 1998 two issues were brought out each year. From there on out 4 issues were published each year. Starting in 2009 the periodical was published by Axel Springer AG.[1]
