Pakistan Democratic Party

The Pakistan Democratic Party is a political party in Pakistan. At the last legislative elections, 20 October 2002, the party won 0.3% of the popular vote, and 1 out of 272 elected members. This party has recently merged with PTI, strengthening PTI's base in north Punjab, south Punjab and some parts of Sindh/Baluchistan and KP province. This party (the PDP) has given the PTI a social democratic mass-base and the old PDP was unlike the old PPP-P (which was and still is a very Sindhi-based feudal-dominated party) was both anti-feudal and anti-capitalist national party and had some presence within national student movement's leadership, especially the Liberal Student Federation (LSF) and National Student Federation (NSF).

On June 27, 2013, Election Commission of Pakistan gave declaration to Shahideens Democratic Party of Pakistan.
