Padres Butte

Padres Butte is a butte, a summit on Padre Point on the south shore of Lake Powell in San Juan County, Utah. The butte has an elevation of 3891 feet / 1186 meters. Formerly it was an island in the lake, now with lower water it is near the tip of Padre Point.[1] [2] Padres Butte marks the site of the historical Crossing of the Fathers, a series of sand bars across the river along the great bend in the river a mile west of the butte.[3]
