PTV World is a 24-hour Pakistani English news channel[1] owned by Pakistan Television Corporation. PTV World was launched in 1998 as Pakistan’s first satellite TV channel “PTV-2.” In 2007, PTV World was taken off air and replaced by PTV News. PTV World was re-inaugurated on January 29, 2013 by former president Asif Ali Zardari[2] as an English language TV Channel. PTV is a state owned channel, with programs including:

  • News (National & International including Business, Sports, Weather, Entertainment)
  • Current Affairs (Analysis based programs focusing on national, international and regional issues)
  • Entertainment (Event Shows, English Dramas, Serials & Soaps, Reality Based Shows, Religious, Social and Cultural programs)
