Paskal (marketed as PASKAL The Movie) is a 2018 Malaysian military action film directed by Adrian Teh and co-produced by Spectrum Films and Asia Tropical Films. The film stars Hairul Azreen, Ammar Alfian, Henley Hii, Taufiq Hanafi, Gambit Saifullah, Hafizul Kamal, Theebaan G, Jasmine Suraya Chin. The film was released on September 27, 2018.[2][3]
Plot
The story tells about a team of elite units of the Pasukan Khas Laut (Naval Special Warfare Forces, Jawi: ڤاسوكن خاص لاوت) or PASKAL, who are on the mission of seizing MV Bunga Laurel's trade vessel from Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden in 2011.

Production
PASKAL directed by Adrian Teh and published by Spectrum Films, is an inspiration from the true story of the Special Forces Team (PASKAL) United Nations in Angola in 1998 and the success of Paskal seized MV Bunga Laurel's trade vessel in the event of the Gulf of Aden in 2011. The cost of filming this film costing about RM10 million. Shooting is conducted at several locations within and outside the country, such as Lumut, Perak; Semporna, Sabah and Maghribi on March until May 2018.
