Founded in 1941, Otero Junior College is located on a 40-acre campus on the southern edge of La Junta, Colorado.

With on-campus housing options, OJC has an active Student Life program with featuring over a dozen student organizations including a nationally awarded Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK), International Relations Organization (IRO) that celebrates and promotes cultural diversity on the campus, Otero Players theatrical troup, Student Nurses Association, Art Club, Chess Club, STEM Club and more.
