Organ theft

Organ theft was considered a belief and a popular urban legend topic that an organized scheme exists to steal human organs for the purpose of transplantation and being sold to the highest bidder. However, there are some cases that have been proven to be real, with reported incidences in India of such criminal activities,[1] as well as in territories controlled by the Islamic State.

Organ theft in Kosovo has been widely reported.[2][3][4]
