The Oregon Community Foundation was established in 1973 and its mission is to improve lives for all Oregonians through the power of philanthropy.[1] OCF works with individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds to support the community causes they care about. Through these funds, OCF awards more than $55 million annually in grants and scholarships.[2] According to the Foundation Center, it is the eighth largest community foundation in the United States as ranked by asset size in U.S. dollars as of 2014.[3]
Priorities
Closing the opportunity gap. OCF funds programs that support parents and families and provide opportunities for children to learn and thrive, particularly low-income children, children of color and rural children.
Strengthening communities. OCF funds programs that increase participation and leadership in communities, enhance arts and culture, and promote a healthy environment and economy.
Inspiring giving. OCF works with donors to create legacies to support the causes about which they are passionate.
