Ribband of the order

The Order of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen is a civilian order of the Republic of China that was instituted in 1941. It is given in commemoration of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and as a token of thanks to those who make outstanding contributions to the Republic of China.[1] It has only been awarded three times: twice in the 1940s to associates of Sun Yat-sen, and in 2008 to Annette Lu, the first Vice President of the Republic of China to have served two terms (8 years).
