"One Number Away" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music singer Luke Combs. It was released in January 2018 as the third single from his debut studio album This One's for You.

Content

The song is a ballad about a man who is feeling conflict and "struggling not to break down and call his ex".[2][3]

Commercial performance

The song peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay for charts dated June 9, 2018, which is Combs third No. 1 on the chart.[4] It has sold 273,000 copies in the United States as of September 2018.[5]

Music video

Rolling Stone described the video as "center[ing] on a broken-up couple who appear to be on the verge of reuniting, while an ominous cloud seems to hang over them both".[2] Combs said that he wanted the song's video to be as "powerful" as the song itself.[6]
