One Day in Your Life is a compilation of Michael Jackson's mid-1970s recordings from when he was between the ages of fourteen and sixteen, released by Motown Records on March 25, 1981. It was the first Jackson album released in the 1980s. Two million copies were sold worldwide. Most of the tracks are from his fourth studio album, Forever, Michael. The other songs were taken from The Jackson 5 releases to pad the album's running time. Motown later admitted that the album was just a quick cash boost generating from the success of Jackson's Off the Wall album.
The title track became a worldwide hit, especially in the UK.
