Oliver Balch
Oliver Balch is a British author and freelance writer who specializes in business and international affairs. He has written for The Guardian, the Daily Telegraph, and the Financial Times.[1]
Balch graduated from Durham University in 1998 with a First in History and subsequently completed a Masters in Philosophy at Cambridge.[2][3] After leaving university he spent a year living in Bolivia and later moved to Argentina, where he began writing freelance.[4]
His first book Viva South America! was shortlisted for 'Book of the Year' at the UK Travel Press Awards.[5] India Rising: Tales from a Changing Nation was published by Faber & Faber in 2012, with Under the Tump: Sketches of Real Life on the Welsh Borders, released in 2016.
