Old Gray was an American emo band from Hooksett and Auburn, New Hampshire.

History

Old Gray began in 2011. The band was formed by Cameron Boucher, Charlie Singer, Zane McDaniel, and Raphael Bastek. In 2013, Boucher would form punk band Sorority Noise in which would later feature Singer. Due the prominent rise in popularity of Sorority Noise, Old Gray would often have to take long periods of inactivity aside for some one-off shows. Since then, they have released two full-length albums, three EPs, six splits, and two singles. Their debut album, An Autobiography, was released in 2013.[1][2] Their second full-length album, Slow Burn was released on December 9, 2016 via Boucher's Flower Girl Records.[3]

In April 2018, Sorority Noise announced they would be taking an indefinite hiatus after their upcoming tour requirements. In addition to this Old Gray announced they would be doing a 6-date Farewell tour in June 2018. The first 3 stops would take place in Cleveland, OH (Mahall's), Chicago, IL (Beat Kitchen), and Lansing, MI (Mac's Bar) with support from Closer. The final 3-dates would take place in Philadelphia, PA (Philamoca), Brooklyn, NY (Market Hotel), and Old Gray's final show in Cambridge, MA (The Sinclair) that seconded as a reunion tour for the second leg support acts, longtime Old Gray collaborators emo punk band I Kill Giants and hardcore band Cerce, both from Massachusetts and had been disbanded since 2013. The entire tour sold out within the first day of tickets going on sale. The following week rape allegations would arise directed towards Cam Boucher resulting in the cancellation of both Sorority Noise's tour supporting The Wonder Years as well as Old Gray's farewell tour and the immediate disbandment of both bands following Boucher's statement denying the allegations. Following the result of the tour cancellation I Kill Giants and Cerce played the shows as co-headliners and donated a piece of the proceeds to different charities.
