Oksana Serhiyivna Markarova (Ukrainian: Оксана Сергіївна Маркарова; born 28 October 1976[1] in Rivne) is a Ukrainian politician. She is since 8 June 2018[2] acting Minister of Finance in the government of Volodymyr Groysman after Oleksandr Danylyuk was dismissed on 7 June 2018 after a conflict with Groysman.[3]

Biography

In 1999 Markarova received a Master's Degree in Ecology at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.[1] In 2001 she got a Master's Degree in Public Finance and Trade at Indiana University.[1]

Until in 2015 she transferred to the civil service Markarova worked in the private sector.[1] Starting March 2015 Markarova was Deputy Minister of Finance under Natalie Jaresko and Oleksandr Danylyuk.[1] After Oleksandr Danylyuk was dismissed on 7 June 2018 after a conflict with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman[3] Markarova was appointed acting Minister of Finance on 8 June 2018.[2]
