The Oklahoma Judicial Center is the seat of the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Judiciary of Oklahoma. Situated adjacent to the Oklahoma State Capitol, the original 68,156 square foot structure was built in 1929 as the home of the Oklahoma Historical Society. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Oklahoma Historical Society Building. The society moved to the nearby Oklahoma History Center when it opened in 2005. Following a renovation and expansion in 2011 to accommodate the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the building now spans 145,518 square feet with 77,362 square foot addition located behind the 1929 building[1]. The Oklahoma Supreme Court had been housed in the State Capitol since it's completion in 1917.
