Ocquionis Creek flows into Canadarago Lake near Richfield Springs, New York.[1] Ocquionis is a Iroquois word that translates to "he is a bear".[2]
Ocquionis Creek was used by early settlers, in the Jordanville, New York area, for baptisms and likened by them to the Jordan River.[3]
