OSFP transceiver

The OSFP (Octal Small Format Pluggable) transceiver MSA is a fiber optic pluggable module standard intended for 400Gbps fiber optic links between network equipment.[1] It implements 8 x 50 Gbps electrical data lanes. It is a slightly larger version of the QSFP format currently used for 100 gigabit ethernet. The standard was announced on November 15, 2016.[2]

This is a standard for OSI layer 1 interconnections and should not be confused with the similarly named OSPF routing protocol.
