The Nottingham Independents are a localist political party in the area of Nottingham City in Nottinghamshire, England. It was officially registered in January 2018, and it plans to contest elections in the area of Nottingham. The party got is first councillor when Sarah Hewson, elected with the Conservative in the Gedling Borough Council joined the Nottingham Independents in March 2018. The first by-election contested by the party was the Clifton North by-election on September 27, where the party came 3rd with 11% of the vote share behind the winning Conservative and Labour but well ahead of the Green and LibDem.[1][2][3][4][5]
