Noshiro Station (能代駅, Noshiro-eki) is a railway station on the Gonō Line in Noshiro, Akita, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Lines

Noshiro Station is served by the Gonō Line, and is 3.9 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Higashi-Noshiro Station.

History

The station opened on 1 July 1908 as Noshiromachi Station (能代駅).[1] It was renamed Noshiro Station on 1 November 1909.[1] With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.[1]
