The Northrop N-102 Fang was a fighter aircraft design created by Northrop Corporation and proposed to the United States Air Force in 1953.[1]

It was powered by one General Electric J79 turbojet engine, though the designers believed two engines would increase the reliability and safety margin.[2] It loosely formed the basis of the F-5 fighter family.[3]

The design was the subject of a 1957 design patent.[4]
