North Albany Senior High School is a comprehensive independent public high school located in the north west of Albany, Western Australia, a regional centre 420 kilometres (261 mi) south-southeast of Perth.
History
The school was established in 1982[3] and by 2016 the school had an enrolment of 749 students between Year 7 and Year 12, approximately 12% of whom were Indigenous.
The school was targeted by vandals in 2010 with dozens of windows around the school being smashed during a weekend leaving a damage bill of over $10,000.[4]
In 2013 the school appeared in the state's top 50 schools for WACE results for the first time in 10 years, ranked at 28. Sharyn O'Neill, director-general of WA's Department of Education, said the school had turned around after a negative expert review in 2009.[5]
