Noman Group is one of the largest Bangladeshi conglomerates in textile and garments sector.[2] Noman Group companies export textile products to many countries around the world.[3]
History
In 2011 the company opened six textile factories;[4] by that time the company was operating 19 plants and employed about 40,000 people.[5] In 2012 it opened a towel factory.[6]
In 2015, the company operates 28 factories and another five new plants are under development. About 60,000 people work for the company. The group exports garment products worth $500 million a year.[7]
In November 2015 the company was in the news when about two hundred engineers protested the beating of a Noman employee.[8]
