Nolan Evans (1885–1948), sometimes known as Peggy Evans, was an English professional football left back who played in the Football League for Clapton Orient.[1]

Personal life

Evans worked as a miner.[2] He fought with the 17th (Service) Battalion of the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment) (more popularly known as the 1st Football Battalion) during the First World War.[3] He was wounded at Delville Wood and nearly lost a leg as a result.[4]
