Nine Percent is a nine-member Chinese boy group formed by the survival show Idol Producer by iQiyi in 2018.

History

Nine Percent was formed as a result of the survival show Idol Producer, which ran from January 19 to April 6, 2018.

The group consists of Cai Xukun, Chen Linong, Fan Chengcheng, Justin, Lin Yanjun, Zhu Zhengting, Wang Ziyi, Xiao Gui, and You Zhangjing.

Debut

After their debut, they were then sent to Los Angeles for further training for half a month. Rodney Jerkins and Christopher Scott were two of their mentors, and they debuted with the 8 original songs during the second half of the competition.[1] From 5 to 6 May 2018, they had their first official performance at Mercedes-Benz Arena (Shanghai).

The group released the first episode of their reality show on iQiyi's personal website, the show showcases another side of the boys as they face their lives in the spotlight of China's idol scene with the first episode being filmed in LA.
